Do you deliver?
Yes, 5 days a week Our office will call the previous day to give you a two hour delivery time window. Please let your sales person know if you need us to call 20 – 30 minutes prior to delivery and the alternate phone number, if you need to meet us from work.
Will you come to my home?
Yes, by appointment and at your convenience.
Where do I begin to decorate my home?

Do you have things in stock or do I have to special order?
We try to keep our best sellers in stock, but if you want a truly custom or different look, you may need to special order.
Can I work with existing furniture or can I co-ordinate with existing pieces?
Yes! In most cases, our clients want to use existing furniture, whether it’s a family heirloom, favorite piece or not within budget. We want to help you.
Can you help me decorating my whole room or home?
Our designers engage in projects as simple as placing new accessories in your room, to the complete redesign of one room or the planning and implementation of home projects that start with architect and builder and end with finishing touches of accessories, window treatments and bedding ensembles.
Can I do this in phases as my budget allows?
Yes. Our system is completely computerized, from sales history to our floor plan design system. Our newly updated makes it easy to keep track of your future plans and budget, even if your salesperson or designer is no longer with INDIAN RIVER FURNITURE.
Do you have experienced design consultants that can help me? Is there a charge for their services?
Yes, our designers can help you with color scheme, room sketches, furniture placement, floor plans, room planning and design. There is no charge for this service to our buying clientele.
What should I bring to the store when I come in?
Planning in advance can alleviate decorating anxiety & save you time and money. Before you come in, take some time to look at your lifestyle:
- How do you currently use the room(s) you will be decorating?
- Dining, relaxing, working?
- Who in your family uses the rooms?
- What functions would you like to add to the room?
- Would you like to be better able to browse the internet while you are watching TV in the family room?
- What about a quiet reading corner in the bedroom?
- Just as important, consider how you would like the room to not be used.
- Does your living room catch all your kid’s toys?
- Does your mail stack up on the hall table?
This might be an indication that additional functions or storage should be added elsewhere in your home.
The old advice Measure twice, cut once could be reworked for decorating to Measure twice, buy once.
Basic room measurements are always helpful, including entry ways and hallways leading into the room. After all, what good is it if the sofa will technically fit in the room’s space, if you can’t get it through the door? This is especially true when shopping for your anchor pieces the large, dominant furniture) in a room. If you have floor plans, bring them. If you’re not good with a measuring tape our designers will be happy to make an in home appointment.
How many manufacturers do you carry?
Over a hundred, when you count accessory and lighting manufacturers. But, don’t let that many choices intimidate you; we won’t let you make a mistake.
Is Indian River Furniture affordable?
Absolutely. We have prices for every budget, that’s why we carry so many manufacturers!
How long have you been in business?
Since 1939. We are the third generation.
Do you stand behind your merchandise?
Yes! Our integrity and reputation are the only real things you have in this world. We aren’t perfect, because there is no perfect furniture. If there was, we would sell it. But, we take care of any situation.
